Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has filed its chargesheet against Mohammed Nalapad and seven others after recording statements of 23 witnesses.

Nalapad Haris, son of MLA N Haris was arrested for brazenly having attacked Vidwath at a restaurant in Bengaluru on February 17 over a trivial issue.

The chargesheet mentions names of BJP MP PC Mohan’s son MP Rithesh, MLA Murgesh Niran’s son Vishal Nirani, former minister Ambarish’s son Abhishek and former minister HC Mahadevappa’s son Sunil Bose as those accompanying Nalapad at the time of the incident.

In chargesheet it is mentioned that an argument broke between Nalapad and Vidhwath after the former accidentally brushed Vidwath’s leg at the restaurant. The arugument soon blew into a ghastly brawl with Nalapad and his associates assaulting Vidhwath with beer bottles and ice mugs injuring him seriously. Further it is mentioned that Nalapad even threatened to kill Vidhwath if he fails to appologies by holding his leg and kissing his feet.

Rithesh, in his statement given to the police has said that “I and Nalapad are childhood friends. While Nalapad was spraying champgne, his leg accidentally brushed against Vidwath’s who asked him to be careful while walking. This angered Nalapad and he asked Vidwath to apologise and kiss his feet. As Vidwath refused to do so, Nalapad and his associates attacked Vidwath. I and Abhishek requested Nalapad not to assault but he never listened to us.”
