Karnataka reports five more COVID-19 positive cases, total rises to 110

Bengaluru: Five more people tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, April 1 evening. A total of nine cases were reported today.

According to the bulletin published by the state health department, there are 98 active cases in the state. As many as 95 COVID-19 cases are in isolation at designated hospitals. Three persons are in the ICU- Patient 43 is on oxygen and Patients 101 and 102 are on ventilators.

The details of the new cases are:

Patient 106 is a 49-year-old man from Puttur (Dakshina Kannada district), who recently arrived from Dubai.

Patient 107 is a 26-year-old Bengaluru resident with a history of travel to Spain. He arrived in India on March 18.

Patient 108 is a 63-year-old resident of Kerala with a history of travel to Germany. He arrived in Bengaluru through Abu Dhabi on March 21. He has been quarantined at a hospital in Bengaluru.

Patient 109 is a 63-year-old resident of Mysuru. He is a contact of Patient 52. He has been isolated at a hospital in Mysuru and his condition is said to be stable.

Patient 110 is a 27-year-old Mysuru resident. She is the wife of Patient 52.

Of the 110 cases, seven are from Kerala who landed in Karnataka’s airports and are being treated here.
