Bengaluru: The Government of Karnataka has chosen Joylus D’Souza, a young leader from the Dakshina Kannada district, as the new chairman of the state’s Christian Development Board.

The names of the president and members were announced by Governor Vajubhai Vala, as per the Department of Minority Welfare, Hajj and Waqf, on November 6.

As a youth leader of the Christian community in the Moodbidri Assembly constituency, Joylus served as the head of various major organizations in his teens, as the vice-chairman of the Mangalore Kambala Committee and as president of the Dakshina Kannada District BJP Minority Morcha.

Joylus, who has been at the forefront of the BJP’s organization over the last several years, has been given the opportunity by the party to recognize the ingenuity of his party organization.

BJP leaders, including constituency legislator Umanatha Kotyan, are excited about Joylus’s selection as he always responds to the hardships of the people.
