Bengaluru: A Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) office employee, on Monday, November 5, attacked his colleague with a machete, allegedly raged by her affair with another colleague.

The assaulter has been identified as Nataraj (45), a senior assistant at KPSC office. The victim has been identified as Jayalakshmi (41). She was attacked on the head, while two other male employees (Sarathi and Ramu) were also attacked. Jayalakshmi was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

According to sources, Nataraj and Jayalakshmi were having an affair while Nataraj was still married. He had, however, divorced his wife a year ago to marry her. However, Jayalakshmi refused his proposal as she had developed an affair with another colleague, Sarathi, one of the men who was also attacked. When Natraj found out about their relationship, he decided to kill her.

Nataraj arrived at the office on Monday at around 11.20 AM and was able to sneak into premises with a machete concealed in a newspaper due to lapses in security. He then barged into the secretary’s locked chamber and assaulted Jayalakshmi, the sources informed.
