Bengaluru: Former prime minister HD Deve Gowda will take part in today’s video conference organised by the AICC interim president Sonia Gandhi with opposition leaders.
Mrs. Gandhi has organised this video conference to discuss the prevailing situation across the country and to discuss the way forward.
It is the second such video conference by the Congress leaders. Earlier, AICC former president Rahul Gandhi held a video conference with editors from across the country.
According to the sources, Deve Gowda decided to attend this video conference as he wants to send a message to the central government that opposition parties are together. “He wants to show that in Karnataka both Congress and JDS are still friends,” said a JDS leader.
Former CM Siddaramaiah, KPCC president DK Shivakumar are also expected to participate in the video conference.
