Bengaluru: Newly appointed JD(S) party president H Vishwanath was gifted an all-new Innova Crysta by the party MLAs. Party supremo HD Deve Gowda handed over the key of the new car to Vishwanath, who is currently undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment at a private hospital in Bengaluru.
According to sources, Deve Gowda recently proposed gifting an Innova Crysta to H Vishwanath, to enable him to take statewide tours as the party’s state president. The MLAs had initially proposed a Fortuner, but Vishwanath rejected it stating that maintenance is very costly. So, they settled on an Innova Crysta.
Several JD(S) MLAs contributed to the cost of the new SUV which was delivered to Vishwanath on Wednesday.
