Bengaluru: During the ongoing session in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, JD(S) MLA AT Ramaswamy walked out of the Vidhana Soudha after home minister M B Patil’s statement on zero traffic reportedly given to the rebel MLAs.

Earlier, minister Patil had said that the rebel MLAs were provided security based on Governor Vajubhai Vala’s direction. He, however, stated that zero traffic was not provided to them.

Irked by his statement, Ramaswamy said, “If the Home Minister lies blatantly in front of the House, how can I stay here?” and walked out of the Vidhana Soudha.

Responding to this, Congress MLA HK Patil said, “Let the Home Minister investigate this as everyone has seen how they (rebel MLAs) were given zero traffic. M B Patil will have to gather more information and has to find out who gave permission for this.”

Minister M B Patil will meet the Police Commissioner to discuss the issue of the alleged zero traffic given to the rebel MLAs when they came back to Karnataka.
