Bengaluru: Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition government’s confusions don’t seem to find an end and as the political scenarios are taking new turns with every passing minute, ‘troubleshooter’ of state coalition and State Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar has revealed that the JDS has made a huge offer to the Congress, here on Sunday, July 21.
“In politics, nothing can be kept as a secret for a long period. In order to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party from coming to power and to save the state coalition, the JDS has made an offer of the CM’s post to the Congress. But it has not suggested/demanded a particular name from our party for the post of the CM. The same information was passed on to our high command,” he said, adding, “It had also mentioned that either former chief minister and CLP leader Siddaramaiah, me or Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar could become the CM.”
He said that according to the situation and circumstances, a strategical political game should be played and that is what he has been doing till date.
Meanwhile, he has expressed his confidence of all the coalition MLAs, including the rebels who are in Mumbai of joining them and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy winning the floor test tomorrow.
