Bengaluru: The JDS-Congress coordination committee, headed by former chief minister Siddaramaiah, will meet next week in the city.
According to KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao, various issues including confusion surrounding the medium of instruction from class one in government schools, filling up various boards and corporations will be discussed during the meeting.
“The alliance between the two parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and seat sharing will also be discussed,” he said.
“The coordination committee hasn’t met for a long time. The date for the meeting will be fixed after Sankranti,” he added.
The Congress leaders are likely to raise the issue of police action against party cadres in Mandya and Hassan where all the Assembly constituencies are represented by the JDS.
If sources in the JDS are to be believed, the party leadership wants to convey the message to the Congress that its leaders are crossing the limit in the administration and openly attacking the state government.
