Bengaluru: Though the Congress has been chanting the ‘All is Well’ mantra, all does not seem to be well within the Congress house and as a collateral damage the coalition government may have to face the consequences.
With the influential Jarkhiholi brothers raising a dissent, KPCC President Dinesh Gundurao was seen holding a midnight marathon meeting with Ramesh Jarkhiholi on Monday night. Later, at about 12 am, Gundurao tweeted saying all is fine.
If sources are to be believed then, the coalition partner JD(S) to has no clarity on the in-house problems faced by the Congress. “The Congress leaders are not too serious about resolving the issue. One of the key demands of the dissidents is DCM post for Ramesh Jarakiholi and a ministership for an ST MLA,” says a JD(S) party workers who add that several senior Congress leaders to are putting forth various demands that the Congress is now unable to juggle it all.
The source adds that from an outset, it so seems that only DK Shivakumar is trying hard to sort the issues out, but given the problems that he himself is facing, he is rendered helpless.
Meanwhile, there is a buzz that the union government may impose president’s rule in the state if the HDK led coalition government falls short of a majority. “The BJP national leadership is not in favour of Operation Kamala,” said a senior BJP leader who wished to be unnamed.
