Bengaluru: DCM Laxman Savadi has said that meeting colleagues and holding discussions cannot be called 'rebel' activities.
It may be recalled that over the last few days rumours of rebel activities brewing within the BJP house has been making headlines.
Speaking about the same, Savadi said that nurturing political aspirations is not wrong and a few MLAs may have come together and discussed about their political aspirations and growth.
"How can a meeting be called rebel activity," Savadi questioned adding that several leaders had met at the residence of Murugesh Nirani because most of the hotels in the city were closed.
"Even I have hosted lunch and dinner for various cabinet colleagues. These meeting cannot be called dissent or rebellion. BS Yediyurappa is our leader," he said.
He said that Umesh Katti and Basangoud Patil have both spoken about their feeling. Katti wants an MP seat for his brother.
"All these are demands of the leaders, which will be heard by the party and a decision will be taken later. However, I am sure that there is no threat to BSY government from Belagavi region. All the issues will be sorted out by the party in an amicable manner," he said.
Minister Anand Singh and others were present.
