Bengaluru: Major irrigation minister D K Shivakumar may be termed as the troubleshooter of the H D Kumaraswamy-led coalition government. But on Thursday night, his brother Bengaluru Rural MP D K Suresh met AICC president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi along with Chamarajanagar MP R Dhruvanarayana, Tumakuru MP S P Muddahanumegowda and Chikkodi MP Prakash Hukkeri. They urged the Congress supremo not to allocate their Lok Sabha constituencies to the JDS in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

D K Suresh informed RaGa that in their Lok Sabha constituencies, the JDS local leaders are spreading misinformation. “We won in these constituencies amid the ‘Modi wave’ in the 2014 election. If the party surrenders these seats to the JDS, it will create a lot of problems for the party activists,” they informed.

“After hearing the MPs, RaGa assured that he will not surrender their seats to the JDS,” D K Suresh said.
