Bengaluru: Indi MLA, Congress leader Yashavantarayagouda V Patil approached the city cyber crime police complaining that few miscreants have created a fake Facebook profile in his name and are misleading the people.
In his complaint to the cyber police, Patil informed that the miscreants are approaching the people through these accounts demanding money in the pretext of money doubling scheme. He requested the police to trace the miscreants and initiate action as it is damaging his reputation.
Cyber police have startee an investigating. “We have sought the help of Facebook officials to trace the IP address and other details to nab the culprits,” informed police.
