Bengaluru: Home minister Basavaraj Bommai held a meeting with the legal luminaries over the state’s response on Supreme Court direction whether the reservation shall be extended beyond 50%.
Later speaking to the reporters, Bommai stated that a unanimous decision will be given to the Supreme Court keeping in mind the overall welfare of the state and communities.
“A few submitted written submissions in this regard. A final decision will be taken only after taking all the stakeholders into confidence,” he said.
The meeting was attended by OBC commission chairperson Jayaprakash Hegde, former chairperson Ravi Kumar Verma, advocates including Uday Holla etc.
