Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in another next 48 hours in the state.
In its weather bulletin, here on Sunday, June 16, it has stated that the monsoon in the coastal region would gain momentum and result in heavy downpour.
The IMD said, “The favoring environment for entry of monsoon and heavy showers was already set on Saturday, as the monsoon had arrived in the state on Friday. The Cyclone Vayu will yet again change its direction and will hit the Rann of Kutch in the next 48 hours.”
It has also stated that because of this wavering behaviour of monsoon, some of the crops has seen a comparatively downward trend.
Meanwhile, the IMD has said that there has been a drastic downfall in the level of rainfall in north Karnataka.
