Bengaluru: After 67 years, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has got a news logo. This was was unveiled on Tuesday, August 20, by director Anurag Kumar.
The IISc started the designing process for the new logo two years ago with the help of a Mumbai-based firm.
For over 67 years, the IISc had a torch enclosed within a laurel wreath as its logo.
Meanwhile, according to sources in the institute, a survey carried out by the management just before the unveiling of the new logo revealed that over 90% of the students disapproved of the new logo and voted for the old one.
