Bengaluru: Finally, the state government launched the Israel agri mission, which is one of the main assurances of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.
Senior IFS officer Manoj Rajan has been appointed as the mission officer.
According to the sources, Manoj Rajan, who is known as a tough officer and has to his credit the fame of having successfully implemented a number of government schemes have been hand-picked by the Chief Minister for the successful implementation of his pet project.
An officer from the CMO informed that the main idea behind the project is to make the agriculture more profitable in the drought-hit districts. “In Israel, there is hardly any water. But the country has achieved tremendous progress in the field of agriculture. The state wants to repeat the same success,” he said.
Projects in 8 districts: According to the authorities, the project will be implemented in 8 districts of the state. “The farmers who have less than 2 acres of land will be selected for the implementation of the scheme,” he explained.
