Bengaluru: Former minister B T Lalita Nayak, who is the well-known face of progressive movements, has said that she will never support the MeToo campaign.
Participating in the Men’s Day celebrations in front of the Town Hall in the city, Nayak, who also heads the Banjara community organisations said that the MeToo allegations must be brought under the lens of the judiciary. “False allegations can be made anonymously and bring down the reputation of the men. There is no clarity on why allegations are made after several decades,” she said.
“This campaign is harming the society more. We can’t suspect all the men. This movement is bringing a bad reputation on all,” she added.
