Mysuru: Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party (KPJP) member and Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment Department R Shankar has said that he will be joining the Congress party very soon on an auspicious day and time.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, October 5, Shankar said, “Senior leaders have asked to me join the Congress Party. I will stay loyal to whatever they have said and will remain in the cabinet. I won’t be dropped from the ministry during the cabinet expansion.”
Clarifying the rumours that had spread after the meeting held at D K Shivkumar’s house, Shankar said, “In the meeting that was held in D K Shivkumar’s house, we did not discuss about the portfolio distribution. We only discussed the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
