Bengaluru: Based on a complaint lodged by a businessman, Annapoorneshwarinagar police, here arrested a housewife who had honey trapped him.
According to the police, the woman had extorted about Rs 11.62 lakhs in one week’s time from her target.
The woman (name withheld) met the businessman seeking a job. At the time of the interview, they had exchanged the WhatsApp numbers. Within a day, she informed the businessman that she loves him. They developed a relationship. After a couple of days, she started seeking money, saying that she had to clear kid’s school fees, repay loans etc.
When the businessman declined to pay more, a rowdy-sheeter called him stating that the woman has the video clippings of their intimate relationship and if he did not relent to the demands, the video would be made public. Fear-struck businessman approached the police seeking help,” said police.
“Woman and her associate have been arrested. We are investigating whether the woman cheated any others,” police added.
