Bengaluru: Higher education minister GT Devegowda is holding a meeting with Vice-Chancellors of all the state-run universities, on Thursday at the state higher education council office.
According to the sources in the state higher education department, in the meeting, GTD will discuss various problems faced by the state universities including fund shortage, shortage of faculties, infrastructure related problems etc.
“Minister GTD also wants to take up new proposals like village adoption by the universities, higher enrollment etc. He will also be expected to discuss taking up the centralised appointment of faculty for the universities,” informed an officer from the state higher education department.
