Nagaraj, Chief Engineer (Central Projects), Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).Justice G. Narendar passed the interim order on a petition filed by Nagaraj, who had questioned the validity of the March 31, 2017 order.
The petitioner was suspended after the State’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a First Information Report (FIR) accusing him of possessing assets allegedly disproportionate to his known sources of income. The High Court found that the government failed to apply its mind on the material and facts of the case while taking the decision to suspend him.
On April 11, the High Court had stayed the FIR registered by the ACB against Nagaraj.
