Bengaluru: A helpline launched by former CM HD Kumaraswamy has been swarmed with phone calls from those families affected by floods. The helpline was launched by Kumaraswamy to bring the challenges faced by flood-affected families to the notice of the government.
The IT cell of the JD(S) party is managing this helpline. The complaints are documented using Aadhaar numbers of the affected families.
On day one (Monday), over 1, 300 people called the helpline number 9164305868. The helpline is functional from 10 am to 5 pm.
According to sources, HDK is collecting details on how the loan-waiver scheme is being implemented after his government collapsed.
