Bengaluru: Unpredicted heavy rainfall disrupted normal life in Bengaluru on Sunday afternoon.
According to the residents, the rain started around 2 pm and continued till 4 pm.
As it was total lockdown day, it didn’t affect the traffic.
However, normal life was totally disrupted as many were unprepared for the rain and subsequent disruption in the power supply.
The worst-hit areas are residential colonies of South Bengaluru. JP Nagar, Vijayanagar, Baiyyapanahalli and nearby areas witnessed heavy rainfall.
Tens of trees were uprooted, damaging vehicles.
No casualties have been reported. According to the BBMP sources, several areas are affected by flood water.
