Bengaluru: Amid hectic political developments, including the controversial Tipu Jayanti, as per the suggestions of his doctors, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy went on a three days holiday. He will be back in the state capital only on Monday morning.
According to the sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), senior doctors including CN Manjunath, Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research have suggested CM HDK to take off from his duties for a while. On Friday morning he reached an unknown destination near Hassan district where he will take three days rest.
“Only his wife Anita Kumaraswamy and son Nikhil are accompanying him. He is accompanied by a team of intelligence department officers who will update him about the developments in the state. He is asked to take complete rest. A doctor will too be at his service,” he said.
“HDK is suffering from cardiac-related problem. His decision to take whirlwind tour at the time of recent by-election has affected his health. He needs complete rest,” sources added.
