Bengaluru: JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Monday, in a thinly veiled attack against the Union Government, said that Congress leader D K Shivakumar is strong enough to face the “vindictive agenda against him”.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, HDK wrote, “Vindictive politics has become the order of the day. Opposition leaders are easy victims of power misuse. In public life, we need to be strong to face baseless allegations and conspiracies. I am sure Mr @DKShivakumar is strong enough to face this vindictive agenda against him.”

It can be recalled that the Congress leader appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday in connection with a money laundering case. The law enforcement agency has been interrogating DKShi for the past few days. His request for a leave today, on the account of it being Ganesh Chathurthi, was also declined by the agency.
He appeared before the ED today, accompanied by his brother, MP D K Suresh. The two were seen to be in tears before entering the agency’s office in Delhi.
