Bengaluru: Call it a desperate bid to put up a unity show or the words straight from the heart, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy was vocal while showering praises on former CM Siddaramaiah, inside the Assembly, on Monday, February 12.
“Let Siddaramaiah become the CM again. I don’t see anything wrong with it,” he said.
It may be recalled that ever since the coalition government came into existence, media reports had claimed that a sense of discomfort exists between the coalition partners as a few Congressmen had been saying that Siddaramaiah is their CM and a few had opined that Siddaramaiah should become the CM again.
Talking on these lines, the CM too has played along. The CM has said that Siddaramaiah is their leader and there is nothing wrong if he wants to become the CM again.
“Our government is running under Siddaramaiah’s guidance. I have not glued myself to the CM’s chair and nobody can be bound to this chair permanently. Many of the MLAs sitting in the assembly hall have won the elections because of the works done by Siddaramaiah. Many share an emotional bond with Siddaramaiah and if they hope that he should become the CM again, there is nothing to feel bad about,” he said openly giving credit to Siddaramaiah for keeping the coalition government alive.
Many opine that the words of the CM were more of a message to the rebel MLAs that their rebellion cannot affect the government.
