Bengaluru: If the sources in the state JDS and Congress are to be believed, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is likely to resign by this evening. He has convened an all-important cabinet meeting where he is expected to make an announcement in this regard.
According to sources, H D Devegowda and HDK, who were shocked by the Lok Sabha election results, have decided to change their strategy. If the sources are to be believed, both the leaders have come to the conclusion that only Siddaramaiah can pose a challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in the interest of the country, they have decided to make way for him.
Sources also claim that PWD minister H D Revanna will be appointed as the new DCM. “A final decision in this regard will be taken after consultation with the Congress leadership,” said the sources.
