Bengaluru: Former chief minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy has gone all guns blazing at his party’s erstwhile ally Congress and said that ‘Congress’ is synonymous to horse-trading’.

Calling the Congress party as an expert in dividing political parties and puchasing MLAs, HDK said that the very term ‘horse-trading’ came to use in Indian politics becase of the Congress.

Continuing his attack, HDK said that the Congress had lured BSP MLAs to support the Congress to form government in Rajasthan.

It maybe recalled that all the six BSP MLAs had merged with the Congress in September last, in Rajasthan to form Congress led government.

“Is that not a buyout,” he questioned adding that if the Congress divides likeminded party MLAs with deceit, then no party will ever support the Congress.

Reminding the Congress that it had divided the JDS too in Karnataka and purchased eight JDS MLAs for the sake of one Rajya Sabha seat in 2016, HDK opined that the Congress and the BJP, both are criminals in this regard.

“Does the Congress have the courage to answer my questions,” he asked adding that it is imperative now to make defectors and their family members ineligible to contest polls for two terms and also disqualify them from holding any office.
