Bengaluru: Former prime minister and Janata Dal (S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda has demanded the Central government to release sufficient funds towards the relief operations of the flood victims of the state, here on Monday, August 12.
Speaking to the media he said, “Around two crore people of the state are badly affected by the floods for which I urge the Centre to release an interim fund of Rs 5000 crore. Let us not play any dirty politics at this point of time. The state is under seize due to mammoth floods. We all have to work towards strengthening the hands of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.”
Meanwhile, he has written a detailed letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the flood situation in the state.
