Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and former Prime Minister, JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda’s decision to not join the opposition delegation, which met the Election Commission against EVMs has now led to a lot of suspicions.
Congress state unit leaders suspect that this decision of the JDS leaders is the signal that they may join the NDA.
According to the Congress sources, till 11 am, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) had confirmed to the party leaders that CM HDK and former Prime Minister HDD will reach New Delhi by 2 pm and join the opposition delegation. “But suddenly they changed the plans following a call by New Delhi. Simultaneously Congress senior leader Roshan Baig also came out as a rebel. All these are pre-planned,” said a Congress senior leader.
“HD Kumaraswamy is more comfortable with the BJP. He is likely to join the NDA after Thursday,” he said.
Meanwhile, the BJP state unit leaders are gathering in Bengaluru. “Around 70 of our MLAs are already in the city. All are the confidence of the fall of this government,” said a BJP leader.
