Bengaluru: PWD minister H D Revanna, who is trying to ensure an easy win for his son Prajwal Revanna in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, met with Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah on Saturday night to discuss the political atmosphere in Hassan.
According to sources, both the leaders held a one-to-one closed-door discussion for over one hour at Siddaramaiah’s residence. “H D Revanna has urged Siddaramaiah to stop his follower, former minister A Manju from joining the BJP’s camp and contesting against him. He expressed fear that Manju might stop his son from entering the Lok Sabha,” said sources.
Sources added that Revanna also informed Siddaramaiah that the local Congress leaders are not extending their support to his son in the campaign. He urged the former CM to call all the leaders personally and ensure that both the parties’ leaders work in together.
