Bengaluru: The grandson of liquor baron late D.K. Adikesavulu Naidu was booked for rash and negligent driving after the luxury vehicle he was in collided with another car near South End Circle on Thursday morning. Six people, including a minor, were injured in the accident.
The police found 110 gm of marijuana in the car, which has been seized. The car belongs to the accused, Vishnu, who, along with two friends, was heading towards Banashankari from a pub.
Passers-by helped Vishnu and his friends come out of the car. The trio slipped away before the police arrived.
The police were able to track him down. In his statement, Vishnu said that his driver Santhosh was at the wheel.
The police are cross-checking his statement. “Witnesses told us that Vishnu was driving the car. We are examining CCTV camera footage to verify,” said a police officer.
The police have sent Vishnu’s blood samples to the Forensic Science Lab to check if he was drunk or had consumed ganja at the time of the accident.
