Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara said that cabinet grade will be provided to former chief minister and coalition government co-ordination committee President Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Parameshwara said that at the Central-level, the coordination committee president has the cabinet status. So, now officially it has been decided to provide cabinet grade to Siddaramaiah to increase the value of that post. Anyhow, it is better to give cabinet status to the committee president. There will be an official declaration regarding this before Monday evening, he said.
“Meanwhile, he clarified that government didn’t decide about naming the Haj Bhavana after Tipu Sultan. Community leaders have requested the minister. Earlier, our government had celebrated Tipu Sultan Jayanti. Then also BJP leaders had created chaos,” the DCM said.
