Govt tweaks rule for vegetables, essentials

Bengaluru: The state government tweaked Covid – 19 curfew rules in the state under the pressure from the public.

As per the new rules notified by the state government, HOPCOMS, milk booths and pushcarts selling vegetables and fruits are allowed to function between 6am and 6pm. This is applicable to milk booths also.

The shops selling essential commodities can remain open between 6 am and 12 noon. Earlier they were allowed to open only till 10 am. The APMCs are allowed to function till 12 noon.

These guidelines will be operation starting today.

According to the government order this decision was taken to ensure that people don’t gather in front of shops and spread Covid – 19 to others.
