Bengaluru: With the drinking water crisis looming large across the state due to the drought, the state government has started call centres dedicated to arranging drinking water. These calls centres have been opened at taluk and district headquarters.

According to Krishna Byre Gowda, minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, the call centre contact details have been uploaded on rdpr.kar.nic.in.

“The general public can call these numbers to get water supply from tankers. The authorities have been directed to maintain a log book and ensure the supply of water to all the areas from where complaints are lodged,” he said.
