Bengaluru: After Sonia Gandhi took the mantle of the Congress leadership, the old guards are back in action. On Monday, instead of K C Venugopal, AICC Karnataka in-charge, Ghulam Nabi Azad will lead the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting where the opposition leader will be selected.
Former chief minister Siddaramaiah, who is the current CLP leader, is like to be chosen as the opposition leader.
On Sunday evening, party strongman and former state minister D K Shivakumar stated that those who need a house in the city can become the opposition leader. “I have a house. So I am not in the race,” he stated.
