Bengaluru: JD(S) state youth wing president Madhu Bangarappa’s sister, former CM S Bangarappa’s daughter and Sandalwood star hattrick hero Shivaraj Kumar’s wife Geetha Shivarajkumar is expected to join the Congress soon and contest from Shivamogga Loksabha constituency.
A hint in this regard was given by none other than energy minister DK Shivakumar on Monday when AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi visited Dr. Rajkumar’s family in Sadashivanagar to pay his respect to Parvathamma Rajkumar who passed away recently. DK Shivakumar was given the task of introducing Dr. Raj’s family members to Rahul Gandhi. Interestingly, DK Shivakumar, while introducing Geetha Shivarajkumar informed Gandhi that she had lost from Shivamogga Loksabha constituency in 2014 general election and will be party candidate in next election.
It can be recalled that in 2014, Geetha Shivarajkumar had contested in a JD(S) ticket from Shivamogga Loksabha constituency against BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa. But she lost the election by more than 4 lakh votes.
