Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is investigating the journalist/ activist Gauri Lankesh murder case has again visited the Vijayapura prison on Sunday. According to the sources, it grilled those who were arrested for the supply of country made revolvers.
The SIT has come to the conclusion that country-made revolver used in the murder of Gauri Lankesh was supplied from Vijayapura. “There are limited people behind this racket. So, SIT is trying to zero in on the suppliers. Once supplier is identified, it is easy to track the buyer,” said sources.
According to the sources, Vijayapura police have arrested several country made revolver suppliers and SIT grilled all of them on Sunday to findout how the revolver may have changed hands.
