Bengaluru: Ranebennur Assembly constituency MLA R Shankar and Mulbagal Assembly constituency MLA H Nagesh have been given ministries here on Monday, June 24, in the Congress and Janata Dal (S) state coalition government.
Shankar from Congress got the Minister for Municipal Administration and Nagesh from JDS is the new minister of Small Scale Industries.
Meanwhile, S R Srinivas from JDS has been given Primary and Secondary Education portfolio. He was earlier handling Small Scale Industries.
Both Nagesh and Shankar were inducted in the state coalition government as the cabinet rank ministers and took the oath administered by Vajubhai Vala, Governor of Karnataka on June 14.
