Bengaluru: In a big relief to the milk producers of the state, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) is receiving good demand even from New Delhi. After a gap of 29 years, the federations have started to supply cow’s milk to the national capital.
According to KMF chief marketing officer Mruthyunjaya Kulkarni, this milk will be distributed by New Delhi’s Mother Dairy.
“We have sent milk from Mandya to New Delhi and it will reach on Monday. This is the first time after 29 years that we are supplying milk to Delhi,” he said.
“We supply pasteurised milk so, it will not break. For the Delhi order, we pasteurised the milk at four degree Celsius in Mandya and sent through the train. After it reaches New Delhi, it will be pasteurised again and will later be distributed in sachets,” he said.
