Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development minister Dr G Parameshwar announced that the state government will soon take up the works of building four more super speciality hospitals in the city.
Speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of an event he stated that presently one super speciality hospital in the public sector is catering to the demands of over one crore population. “To bring down the pressure, we have decided to build four new such hospitals. The process of identifying the land for the proposed super-speciality hospitals has been taken up,” he said.
“There is a huge demand for the super speciality services, but they are not affordable for the poor in the private sector. So we have decided to go ahead with these plans,” he said.
