Bengaluru: In a heart-wrenching incident, a four-month-old toddler was charred to death in a fire mishap at a village in Chikkaballapur district.
According to the Gowribidanur police, the incident has been reported from Rayanakallu village and the deceased has been identified as Rajeshwari, daughter of late Ravi and Shashikala couple.
According to the police, Ravi, husband of Shashikala died when she was pregnant. She delivered in the month of October. “Poverty-stricken Shashikala lived in a hut. Hailing from a snake charmers’ family, making both ends meet was a challenge for the mother.
On Wednesday night, Shashikala had gone to the neighbour’s home to borrow some rice for dinner, when the hut caught fire charring the baby to death.
