Bengaluru: The city police has intensified the investigation into the abduction of former minister and two-time MLA Varthur Prakash.
The police is carrying out investigation from all the angles including role of a woman and financial disputes.
Home minister Basavaraja Bommai stated that the Kolar and Bengaluru police will carryout investigation jointly.
Now the case has been transferred from Bellandur station to Kolar rural police station as the incident happened in that police limits.
According to the sources, police are tracing the former minister’s call record details beside the financial disputes involving his farm constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.19 crores.
The police recovered several materials from the SUV in which he was abducted.
According to the sources, dupatta (shawl) of a woman too has been recovered from the SUV which may give further leads to the investigation.
