Bengaluru: GT Devegowda, former minister and senior most JDS leader has been expelled from the party.
GTD came to limelight after defeating then CM Siddaramaiah at his home turf Chamundeshwari constituency in the 2018 state assembly election.
On Saturday, former CM HD Kumaraswamy announced his suspension from the party. “It is the end of the road for GTD in the party. He is not be with the party anymore,” he said.
“We are nurturing alternative leadership against him,” he said.
GTD is likely to join BJP which is looking for a Vokkaliga face in the old Mysuru region.
