Bengaluru: A Manju, former district in-charge minister of Hassan district is all set to quit the Congress party on Saturday. He is joining the BJP to contest against Prajwal Revanna from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency.

Prajwal Revanna is the younger son of PWD minister HD Revanna and Grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. Deve Gowda is vacating his constituency for the sake of his Grandson.

A Manju has already announced his decision to quit the Congress alleging high handedness of the Deve Gowda family in Hassan constituency.

“It is the question of my political survival. Gowda family is totally destroying the Congress in the district. So I have been left with no options other than quitting the party,” he stated.

According to the sources, Shwetha Devaraj, president of Hassan ZP is also expected to announce her resignation to the Congress along with her political mentor A Manju.

A Manju is expecting an easy win against Prajwal Revanna with the support of disgruntled Congress voters and the BJP traditional vote base.
