Bengaluru: Former CM Siddaramaiah has stated that the proposed 10% reservation for the candidates from the economically weaker sections from the General category of the society is an election gimmick.

Speaking to the reporters in Mysuru, Siddaramaiah stated that the idea is good, but it is leaving people confused.

“All this while, the BJP leaders were against the very concept of reservation. Now they are using the same strategy to garner votes which is ridiculous,” he said.

He also expressed confidence that JDS-Congress coalition government will complete its five years term. “All the difference of opinions will be resolved through talks,” he said.
