Bengaluru: BJP leader, Vijayapura MLA  Basanagouda Patil Yatnal  urged the state government to release adequate compensation to the flood affected families of North Karnataka region and warned against treating them like beggars.

Speaking to the reporters in Bagalkot after visiting the flood relief camps, he stated that the BJP government has failed to win in Maharashtra election due to the negligence of flood affected in Kolhapura and Sangli districts.

“The state and central governments must help the flood affected immediately. Else, people will teach a lesson to all,” he warned.

He also stated that it is time the party developed local leaders in all states rather than banking on  Amit Shah and Narendra Modi’s  charisma in all the elections.
