Faulty bike not replaced: Woman attempts suicide in showroom

Bengaluru: Woman allegedly tried to commit suicide inside a bike showroom when the personnel at the showroom refused to replace the new bike that she had bought for her son. A case has been registered in this regard at Cubbon Park police station.

According to the police, Sarojamma (48) a resident of Vasanthanagara is the woman who tried to commit suicide. She has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

According to the police, Sarojamma had bought a 400 CC Bajaj Dominar bike for her son. But even before the second servicing, the bike had developed technical snags resulting in fire. So, Sarojamma had approached the showroom seeking a replacement. But showroom staff declined. Sarojamma recently issued a notice to the showroom through her lawyer, but the showroom staff didn’t budge.

On Tuesday, Sarojamma who visited the showroom started argument and consumed poison in protest against the management’s decision. Showroom staff immediately rushed her to near by hospital.
