Bengaluru: Two from the state including a 2-year-old child died in a road accident in North Carolina, USA.
According to sources, the deceased are identified as Mukesh Shivaji Pawar and his daughter 2-year-old Divija.
Mukesh’s wife Monica sustained serious injuries.
According to sources, Mukesh is a resident of Kongalli village in Bhalki taluk, Bidar.
“Mukesh was driving the car. The accident happened when he lost control and hit a tanker. Both father and daughter died on the spot,” informed sources.
Bidar MP Bhagavanta Kuba has informed that he is in touch with the Indian Embassy in USA to ensure smooth transportation of the mortal remains of the deceased and the treatment for Monica.
